About Me
I'm George (he/him), a UX designer with a passion for crafting inclusive and accessible experiences. My work is rooted in my background in health research and data science, giving me a unique perspective on design. I’m all about working together with communities to bring to life ideas that reflect their values.
My experiences with different languages and cultures across the US and other countries have shaped how I approach my designs. During an internship at National Taiwan University Hospital in Taipei, I managed to thrive using only Chinese for two months, which ingrained in me the value of cultural fluency (所以我中文应该还可以吧!). I’ve also briefly lived in Cartagena, Colombia, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, immersing myself in Spanish while exploring Latin American art and architecture (y todavía estoy aprendiendo español ahora en Miami).
When I'm not doing design work, I spend way too much curating music playlists (¡me encanta la música pop latina!), practicing guitar and piano, finding new international movies and TV shows to watch, helping friends reach first place in Mario Kart, and volunteering at the local community garden.
Whether I’m designing or discovering my next hobby, I’m always looking for ways to learn, grow, and connect with others.
